FAQ
What is the sugar content of your toasted muesli?
It varies by blend but our lowest sugar content blend is The Total Nutter with 5.5g of which sugars per 100g (this is just the touch of honey we toast it through the oven with - we don't add any refined sugar). The other blends have a higher sugar content due to the dried fruit content.
Do you add any refined sugar to your toasted muesli?
We don't add any refined sugar to our muesli during the toasting process although please note that the dried cranberries we use are sweetened slightly (they're quite a sour fruit otherwise!).
Where can I find the nutritional information for your products?
The nutritional information can be found on the individual product pages on our website shop here.
What's different about your toasted muesli?
1) The quantity of "the good stuff" - it's not just a pack of oats with a couple of token raisins thrown in! We pack our muesli full of seeds, nuts & dried fruit (depending on the blend) so get a good chunky non-dusty muesli!
2) We toast it all through the oven - this helps release the flavours in the seeds, cereals & nuts.
3) We make it all ourselves in small batches in our kitchen. This isn't a mass-manufactured factory operation - we're a tiny (currently 3 person) business making our product from scratch. We mix everything by hand, toast it in trays through our little oven, hand-fill our packs package it by hand. The result is a lot of care goes into every bowlful & a great deal of pride in the quality of our product and service.
What's the difference between toasted muesli, granola & conventional muesli?
Granola usually involves the addition of oils, salts & sugar to form clusters. Conventional muesli we found to be quite bland & sawdusty. Toasted muesli is similar to granola in that we toast it in the oven but without any of the added oils, salts or refined sugars. We discovered toasted muesli to be the best of both worlds - tasty but healthy!
Where do you make your muesli?
We make all our muesli by hand in our countryside kitchen near Rosley on the edge of the Lakes in Cumbria.
Do you make any gluten-free muesli?
Yes, we make one gluten-free muesli called The Free Runner. Please note, whilst this has been lab-tested and certified gluten-free, we do make it in the same kitchen as the rest of our muesli blends. Whilst we have stringent cross-contamination measures in place, if you have a severe allergy, we would advise against eating it as there are is a small possibility of traces of gluten.
